Kalao´s is an artisan company of Bucaramanga, Colombia, with a trajectory of 13 years that has specialized in making articles to dress by hand pierced and embroidered and in whose elaboration the best fabrics of the market are used, like cotton, linens and etaminas.

For being a manual, very expensive art and highly specialized, does not allow a production in series, since the openwork and the embroidering work according to the texture of the fabric and to the plot of the weave, but mainly to the creative sensitivity of that elaborates the article.

By the quality of the manual work that is made, Kalao´s has participated successfully in diverse artisan fairs:

  • In Bogota: Fair of the Colonies, and by six years consecutive in the more important Artisan Fair of the country EXPOARTESANIAS that makes Crafts of Colombia, in the month of December of every year in CORFERIAS.

  • In Medellín: In Handmade in America, in Embroiderings and Weaves, Orquídeas Birds and Flowers and Orquídeas of Colombia for the world.

  • In Popayán: In Artisan Gold Sample, that is carried out in Easter and that is sponsored by the permanent meeting Proweek Santa, UNESCO and the Ford Foundation.

  • In Manizales: In the Artisan Fair of Manizales 2004.

  • In Bucaramanga: In the Artisan Fair of CENFER that is celebrated each Easter.
